Mezzo-soprano Phoebe Gildea is an active and passionate performer in opera, theater, and concert. Favorite performances have included Lady Macbeth (Macbeth), Foregin Princess (Rusalka), Emma (Jekyll & Hyde), Wellgunde (Das Rheingold), Amalia (She Loves Me), Lysander (A Midsummer Night’s Dream), Zweite Dame/Papagena (Die Zauberflöte), and the Alto Soloist in Bach’s Magnificat. She has appeared with Portland Opera, Astoria Music Festival, Cascadia Concert Opera, Lark Opera, Clackamas Repertory Theatre, Majestic Theatre, and Bravo! Concerts Northwest, among others. When not on stage, Phoebe can be found teaching voice and piano lessons online to students across the country, music directing children’s theater productions, crafting handmade candles and fiber arts, or snuggling with a very fluffy cat and 3 adorable rats.
