LISSA HALSINGER

From classic to experimental, emotional expression to educational comedy; Lissa Halsinger combines a wide range of artistic skills to every project she tackles. Her formal training is in voice, piano, jazz guitar, and musicology attributed to wonderful mentors up and down the west coast. As a performer she has notably premiered piano solos for composer Connor Wier, accompanied long-form improvisers in a standing role at the Upfront Theater, been featured in The Phoenix as a composer, premiered international choral works at the American Choral Directors Association 2022 conference, and sung in solo settings ranging from jazz standards to art song. Roles she has played include The White Witch in The Lion, the Witch, and the Wardrobe, Margot in Legally Blonde the Musical, and Agatha in Guys and Dolls. As producer of art, Lissa is a stage manager, artistic manager, music director, and crew member in and around the Portland area for organizations such as Constructive Interference Circus and the Portland Opera.
