Kayla Ray is a soprano from Nampa, Idaho, currently residing in Portland, Oregon. This is her first production with Light Opera of Portland, singing the role of Patience. Having previously performed roles such as Lucy in The Telephone, Mabel in The Pirates of Penzance, the First Lady in The Magic Flute, and Nora in Ryders to the Sea. She currently performs with Opera on Tap, Bravo! Northwest and The Fireside Carolers. She received her Bachelors of Music from Idaho State University, and her Master of Art’s from Washington State University and has been a part of LAHSOW summer program, and the Accademia Vocale Lorenzo Malfatti Young Artist Program.
