Karen’s love for musical theater began about twenty-five years ago in Florida where she accidentally landed in the ensemble for the local community theatre. Some of her most memorable roles include Audrey in Little Shop of Horrors, Angelina in Trial by Jury, Mrs. McAfee in Bye-Bye Birdie and Lady Grace Manley-Prowde in Something’s Afoot. She was the voice for the group Bella Suono, which crooned primarily for Retirement Communities and Assisted Living Facilities in Florida. She has sung with the Aurora Chorus, an all-female choir, and with Tapestry, both in Portland.
