Ireland McNeill
Ireland loves teaching and is passionate about “the arts and education.” She holds a Master of Arts degree from the University of Portland and is an avid supporter of education for all. She is currently working full-time as the Artistic Director at Village Home as well as the Rivers Day Program Director. She has worked hard to fuse her academic self with her artistic self. She has a background in ballet and is a classically trained soprano with a music minor. A few highlight roles include Nellie in a musical review of South Pacific, Ermengarde in The Matchmaker, Sharpay in High School Musical, a model on the runway of Portland Fashion Week, and other roles. She’s enjoyed working and performing with Light Opera of Portland. She’s been involved in productions of Ruddigore, The Sorcerer, Trial by Jury, H. M. S. Pinafore, The Pirates of Penzance, Patience, The Yeoman of the Guard, and Iolanthe. The Oregon Arts Watch praised her performance as Phyllis in Iolanthe, saying "she sang with an innocence ideal for the role."
