Member – David Ridley

David’s career in theatre has lasted just under four decades. He recently retired from a 30-year teaching career where he has taught, what else, theatre.

His most beloved G&S stage roles include Captain Corcoran, Ralph Rackstraw, and Bill Bobstay in separate productions of HMS Pinafore, which he has also directed. The only role has hasn’t played- yet-is Sir Joseph Porter, KCB. Other productions include Lord Tolloller in Iolanthe, a pirate in Loop’s The Pirates of Penzance and Antonio in The Gondoliers.

He has been seen on other stages as well, having played Jonathan Jasper in The Mystery of Edwin Drood, Jonathan Preachum in The Three-Penny Opera, The Minstrel in Once Upon a Mattress, Otto Von Bruno in Bullshot Crummond, and most recently, Lloyd Dallas in Noises Off.

He has a BA in Theatre from Lewis and Clark College and an Ed.M from Oregon State University.
